MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The judge in the George Floyd case has dropped one of the murder charges for former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who continues to face a more serious murder charge. The charges for the other three officers in the case also stand.
On Thursday, Hennepin County Judge Peter Cahill dismissed Chauvin’s third-degree murder charge, but denied a request to dismiss the ex-officer’s more serious second-degree unintentional murder and second-degree manslaughter charges.
Cahill also ruled that he will not dismiss aiding and abetting charges from the other three officers — Tou Thao, Thomas Lane and J. Alexander Kueng. The attorneys for those former officers argued lack of probable cause.
Cahill is still deciding whether the jury should be anonymous; if the trial should happen in Hennepin County; and whether the officers involved should have separate trials.
police in the USA seems to have almost unlimited powers. I mean if an off duty police can enter your house, kill you and then get away with claiming she mistook the house with a slap in the face punishment. For anybody else, that would have been a 1st degree

A bunch of dirty black cops from Rampart division in LA just like in the movie.
These guys stole cocaine from evidence and sold it in the streets and they would get away with anything because some judges were their friends.
These guys were also bank robbers and hitmen. They took jobs from Suge knight including killing the rapper known as Biggie smalls!!

The character Denzel plays is that similar to officer Ray Perez of the same precinct. He was the ring leader and got away with almost any crime imaginable for many years:

Other cops involved were Nino Durden and Kevin Gaines. Gaines was killed for sleeping with Suge Knight’s wife and conspiring to kill Suge Knight and take over his wealth.
The police in America are unionized. Unions will always protect their own no matter what. Just like here in Kenya even when a teacher beats a student to death or a doctor kills a patient through sheer negligence their unions rush to defend them.
