Mr Collymore stated that he has accumulated Sh109.5 million in the last 12 months, including interests and dividends.
According to a declaration of wealth posted by the CEO, he has a net worth of Sh277.3 million in cash, properties and shares.
Mr Collymore owns a Sh54 million residential house in London, UK and has Sh18.3 million worth of shares in Safaricom.
The CEO, who has placed himself at the head of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s fight against corruption, has published his wealth as part of the private sector initiative with government.
His company engages in social corruption. How can he expect his resellers to make it with the low margins in airtime sales, or its deliberate keeping of communication costs sky high, or the high mpesa charges and low commission structure. His company takes advantage of Kenya’s weak anti trust laws. Its monopolistic in every way.
How do you earn such an amount of money in one month in a country where the majority(98%) of the employed population would never cumulatively earn even in three life times? Most of the Safaricom income comes from the poor by way of exorbitant service charges. It is immoral to earn that amount. A teacher would have to work for 30 years to earn an equivalent of collymoron’s one month salary!!! Safaricom does not make its huge profits because of superior management practices, but monopoly which is a product of mobile phone history in this country coupled with weak regulations that mediate exploitation of the masses. People should say no to exploitation. That time will come.
Are you sure? Two reports that were released this year indicated Chase Bank and Unilever as the best employees in Kenya…I hope hiyo yako si ya Infotrak
NIGGA shut your fucking mouth!! Collymore has worked very hard to be where he is right now and is entitled to whatever he earns… Think about it from your perspective, what do you earn? say 100k (but I can tell by the way you talk you’re prolly a peasant) say you earn 100k, that is 10 times what some guy in the slums is surviving on… Now would that person have the authority to say that your salary is too much and such immoral?? No! right? But you think what Bob earns is ‘immoral?’
What if you were earning such a salo, would you decline?
