I’m still buying a porsche/ benz over those chinese things. Volvo has already been affected in quality by its chinese owners, making it ridiculously of lower quality than initially when it was wholly owned by European carmakers.

Until you put side by side, Chinese luxury cars dwarf those. I have owned a luxury few over the years. One doctrine we follow is never, I repeat never buy buy spare parts made in China. Absolute garbage. Especially the electronic parts. They work for a few months, only.

Hizi gari za China, let them land at the port in .ke, then, they be driven to Kigali, Bunjumbura then back to the Kenyan coast.
East Africa Safari was were cars we put into test, but since that is long gone, the road trip prescribed above should be sufficient.
From there, we can evaluate their performance.

Chinese technology is at par with the west. The west transferred it’s technology when they opened factories to access the Chinese market. 1.2B market which offers cheap labour and has a middle class impulse buying. In medical field all machines are from chinku.

Chinese technology yes. Quality no. Quality is related to cost of production. This is outside of phones.

Most manufacturers also make re cutting costs by using lighter and cheaper materials - this also makes the vehicles light thus consume less fuel. The idea of aerodynamics and computerised design also means that almost all cars look the same. I think they stopped designing real cars in the 90s. Like my dream W124!
