Methinks the govt of Kenya should allow all men of goodwill with at least one degree from a reputable university and with a verifiable stable source of income to own and carry at any given time:-

  1. A Ruger LCP 2 or Glock 26 pocket pistol,
  2. A 22 calibre Beretta 87 Cheetah,
  3. A 9mm pistol of their choice,
  4. Several stun grenades and assorted tactical knives.
    Why should a neurosurgeon driving home at midnight from a late night emergency medical call be left at the mercy of armed hoodlums from Kayole wenye hata hawakumaliza form four? Why would an owner of capital providing employment to tens of people in addition to paying punitive taxes to the govt be left to fend off empty-handed pesky boda boda riders seeking to burn him in his car after a minor accident caused by one of them?
