These American fuckers never went to the moon. If you look at the space race time line, you’ll notice the Soviet Union was always ahead of America. Major Soviet firsts include:
-1957 First Intercontinental ballistic missile (R-7 Semyorka)
-1957 First artificial satellite (Sputnik)
-1957 First living animal in space (the bitch Laika, on Sputnik 2)
-1959 First impact with the moon (Luna 2)
-1959 First photos of the moon’s far side (Luna 3)
-1960 First animals returned alive from space (Sputnik 5)
-1961 First spin stabilisation
-1961 First human spaceflight (Yuri Gagarin) and first orbital flight of a manned vehicle (Vostok 1)
-1961 First planetary flyby (Venus by Venera 1)
-1961 First crewed mission lasting a full day (Vostok 2)
-1962 First dual crewed spaceflight, first ship-to-ship radio contact and first simultaneous flight of crewed spacecraft (Vostok 3 and Vostok 4)
-1963 First woman in space (Valentina Tereshkova) on Vostok 6
-1965 First spacewalk
-1966 First soft landing on the moon and first photos from another celestial body (Luna 9)
-1966 First impact into another planet (Venus), Venera 3
-1966 First artificial satellite to orbit another celestial body: the Moon (Luna 10)
-1967 First docking of two remote controlled spacecraft (Cosmos 186/Cosmos 188)
-1969 First crew exchange in space (Soyuz 4/Soyuz 5)
US “firsts” were mostly increments of things the soviets had already achieved, like first weather satellite, first solar powered satellite, first communications satellite, first pilot controlled space flight, eight day human spaceflight record in 1965 (coming a full 2 years after the soviets had set a five day record). John F. Kennedy in 1961 vowed to put humans on the moon by the end of the decade, and what do you know? The feat was “achieved” in 1969, a mere 6 months before the end of the decade. Coincidence? Maybe. But given the head start the Soviets had, if putting humans on the moon was feasible, they would have done it before the Americans. Nikita Khrushchev would have been okay with letting millions of soviets starve if it meant diverting funds meant for food to the moon program.
By the way, the Soviet Union kept setting space records even after the supposed moon landing. All these achievements were however erased by the USA’s 1969 “space coup”.
The Americans would have easily brushed it aside as Soviet propaganda/jealousy. Remember the soviets were already experts at photographic manipulation decades before Photoshop became popular. Soviet officials who fell afoul of the regime were erased from official government photos. So the Americans could have easily dismissed it as such. Look at how Nikolai Yezhov was photoshopped out of this image, in the 1940s.
All moon landings supposedly took place during Richard Nixon’s administration. No other administration has shown a willingness to go back. Plus the soviets successfully achieved a soft landing on the moon in 1966, 3 whole years before Neil Armstrong and co went there. I’m thinking it would have taken the soviets a very short time to go from successful soft landing to a manned lunar mission, if it had been feasible. Americans claim the Soviets/Russians lost the desire to land on the moon because with America’s landing, they were not interested in coming second. But I think they would have still landed there for the sake of science. There’s a reason why the Soviets didn’t go to the moon.
Good point…by now going to the moon would be like going to Disneyland after all , If the technology is there,we know there are few individuals or groups who would fund the multi billion voyage.Hapo tulicheswo.
Russia had once released de-classified documents around the same year-range as the space race. Going through the documents there were records that had not been destroyed of astronauts who had perished in the line of work. All the deaths occured inside the space capsules that they were using at the time. Perhaps, out of space and close to the radiation belts that NASA Space crafts cruise by effortlessly. It might have hit them eventually that going to the moon was not possible, at all. And hence they slowed down in their attempts.
The Americans had 6 manned missions to the Moon.
6.
For some reason, all of you think the Americans went there once.
The last manned mission was in 1972, less than 50 years ago.
Secondly, NASA stopped investing in Spaceflight technology that took humans into deep space after the Apollo Mission ended. For example the company that made the Sarturn V rockets no longer exists. They cannot actually make them.
Thirdly, until recently, there was zero reason to go to the moon . It was until several research flybys, a barren, airless rock and the only resource that was available, (Helium-3), we still have not developed the technology to utilise it safely. It is only recently that it was discovered that there is water on the moon. The Apollo Mission cost around $25 billion. A very large sum in the 1960s and 70s. Why use billions on a barren airless rock???
Thridly, virtually every Space Agency on the planet agrees that the Americans landed on the moon.
The Japanese SELENE Moon orbiter ,India’s Chadrayaaan 1 orbiter and China’s Change-2 Orbiters have all taken photos of the Apo lo Lunar Orbiter , the vehicle tracks made by the Lunar rovers as well as the ‘blast’ site made as the module landed and blew regolith away .
So unless the Japanese,Chinese, Russians and Indians are also in on the conspiracy, the Moon Landing was real.
People do not seem to realise that politics and Economics play a role in space travel. The Oil crisis and Vietnam in the 70s put any space missions in the back burner. The 80s was characterised by recessions and turmoil and the Republicans who came to power later on were either sceptics of Space missions(Reagan) or wanted to go to Mars(Bush Senior). Democrats like Clinton and Obama preferred unmanned missions (Hence Curiosity, Phoenix, Cassini and all those rovers sent to the Moon,Mars and Satrun’s Moon ,Titan)and indeed, with irony, the current administration is the one with space enthusiasts. Newt Gringich has been the biggest advocate for a moon colony since the 1990s(He is part of the reason why the Orion SLS Mission, initially meant to be unmanned under Obama, will be a manned mission .The Americans are going to the Moon next year). Trump is a fan of Mars, which he hopes that by his second term, if he will have one, concrete steps will have been taken to go there by the 2030s
Russia’s space mission was entirely dependent on one man and one man alone.Sergei Korolev. He was responsible for Russia’s rise as a space power, from sending the Sputnik satellite to Sending Laika to space to Yuri Gagarin himself .
And it was after several failures(and deaths).
Soviet leaders like Nikta Kruschev actually did not have an interest in the Space Program, until Sputnik caused widespread panic in the US. Then they decided that is was an appropriate propaganda piece. After Korolev died and Kruschev was pushed out, interest in Space died and the focus was on Afghanistan.
After Sergei Korolev died, Russia’s manned missions died with him. and btw, the Soviets built a lunar-landing capable rocket in the 70s. This was because the Soviet Moon Project had been about getting there first. Thus funding for the program died in 1969.
Welcome to the enlightened 21st century where people honestly believe Moon Landing NEVER took place but unquestionably believe that Noah’s Flood actually did happen.
Who are these people that believe the moon landing never took place but unquestioningly believe that noah’s flood actually did happen? Is jumping to conclusions another feature of the 21st century? Ama you’re speaking for yourself? Please, enlighten us.
