Across Tsavo West on a Motorcycle

Hawawezi kosa. Tembea branch yoyote ya Abson Motors tu wata kupa uhondo

Kiongosi hongera kazi mzuri.I have subscribed to your channel.Nimetuma linknkwa members wa BMW owners association na wamebambika pia it should drive your subscription and views up kiasi. How do you get the courage to travers the National park like that?Tsavo has very vicious fearless lions.Lions that can spring jump ontonyou on a bike given a chance.Do you preserving your bike ama you just take a leap of faith? Its blood chilling to imagine what could happen if the bike breaks down deep inside tsavo west.At least with a car you can lock yourself inside as you call and wait for help. For a bike if it breaks down lions will smell lunch from a mile away.

Asante sana for the subscription and recommendation. I trust my bike. I service it well so I in return expect it to deliver. I know we can have breakdowns even on the best machines but thats the least of my worry. Once I hit the road I usually tell my bike that it has to deliver no matter what. I once crossed Tsavo on Mombasa Road between 6 and 7 PM and by the time I was getting to Voi it was at night. That was the day I sweat properly. I saw elephants and 3 carcasses of hyenas. The good thing with Voi Taveta highway we have a vast clearance you can see danger approaching from far so as long as the bike is running you are safe. The day I will break down in the section I will figure our what to do

I remember using that road kitambo when i visited salt licks and lake chala and it was the roughest dusty road ever. Trucks would take days from voi to taveta/holili border due to the bad road na kukwama. It was an embrassment for kenya coz tanzania had tarmacked their side from Taveta/holili border to moshi and arusha. That road is very important coz it links mombasa port with taveta - moshi - arusha and imports to northern tz are made through that route. It was a missing link.

Nice to see it is now fully tarmacked and all the local shopping centres have stima and street lights. Kweli uhuru alifanya kazi buana. @Mikymas come see the nice work uhuru alifanya with the loans. He also promoted international trade.

I have subscribed. Great channel. i only have a few questions, How did you upgrade to 250cc? new engine or some modifications done? also what is the top speed of this bike and the highest speed you can maintain on tarmac for a long period of time without stressing the bike.

Buy a small can of pepper spray, can help Incase of wildlife attack. All the best in your travels

Bear spray is better. Pepper spray is too soft for a wild animal. But he would have to slow the approaching animal first. Because bear spray will not stop a lion at full speed in its tracks. The noise of the bike willl keep the animals away though. They can hear the sound from a kilometer away.

Is it available in Kenya?
