Some time back, a plane hit a herd of wildebeests while landing at Masai Mara.
A DHC-8-200 suffered a left-hand landing gear failure after striking several wildebeest on landing at the Kichwa Tembo Airstrip in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya.
The occupants were not injured; the aircraft sustained damage to the left-hand main gear and no.1 propeller. Two wildebeest were killed in the accident.

Have you seen the airstrip in mara? These gnus dash across the plains and hence across the strip, because its a reserve,it cannot be fenced off…big problem

No way, try landing there earlier than your Landcruiser and they don’t let you alight, they even have to keep the engines running just to keep the animals away.
