I have read somewhere and they say that the nervous system in reptiles is decentralised unlike in mammals and birds. Every part of the reptiles skin is able to sense in order to hunt and evade enemies

Same principle as a phantom limb. Recent amputees will relate, some of them have reported itches in a limb that has just been amputated. Cells contain a ‘mini brain’. However a philosophical aspect enters at this point. The mind is not localised.
