A 70-year-old man identified as Joe, who has been living in the USA for 50 years, has been deported and now faces a very uncertain future.
The situation of the elderly man has saddened many people, with most asking if something can still be done through immigration lawyers.
“He does not have a house, family, or anything back at home,” said Joe’s granddaughter.
“This morning, I woke up to the saddest news. I could have ever received. My grandfather, who has been in the United States, who no longer has a place to live in Nigeria, has been deported after living nearly 5 decades in the United States,” she said on TikTok. “All his families are here He has no place to live back home. To wake up to the news that he can never return has been truly heartbreaking.”
