Businessman Jimi Wanjigi’s campaign secretariat is to address journalists today following a night raid at his Kwacha House offices in Westlands, Nairobi.
The detectives who raided the offices on Monday January 17 night at around 9.30pm are yet to leave the premise.
According to reports, the businessman is still within the premise and plans to address the media before he is whisked away.
Supporters of the ODM Presidential hopeful have camped at the gate.
Mr Wanjigi has been at the centre of a land tussle over a piece of land worth at least Sh400 million in Westlands, Nairobi.
The property has been under investigation since 2018 after it emerged that it had three separate titles.

You folks are falling for sideshows. wanjigi was not only planning a separate odm meeting this weekend that is unacceptable to RAT because it further reveals it not only to the public but also his sponsors that he has lost control. wanjigi presidential quest was supposed to be a backup for odm. He would build the base on his campaign then when RAT disagrees with Uhuru then he can still fall back to odm kept alive and ready by wanjigi bid. However wanjigi instead took seriously an attempt on palace coup. That had to be dealt with today.
Secondly wanjigi speech at wiper meeting in the weekend revealed he is forming a coalition without RAT. That there is what really pushed the green light to this arrest. However wanjigi is holed up at his bunker in the office and I’m watching this clueless DCI hit squad looking on stupidity. The more this plays out the more embarrassing for the government starting with Uhuru. Six months into the general election they can only threaten everyone for support.
That said I will enjoy watching wanjigi and co soap opera. RAT atajipanga, the growing unease is open in the public. Even his kemsa billionaires haven’t given him finances to campaign. By now he desperately needs mass finances. Wanjigi gave him billions in 2017 that went for nothing. Uhuru gave wanjigi the assault weapons tender for NPS as part of handcheque to recoup. He has since refused to fund RAT again in favour of his own plans or preferred candidate. RAT will gave to sell a lot of odm certificates to get campaign funds.
Raila has been in politics for much longer than your uncle. His father was also a vice president at one time. However, the man is having problems financing his campaigns.
