Who has tried this Linux distro aniambie how is it? I want to give Linux a try. Windows 11 is just pure shit, has many flaws and I am just fed up with all their endless updates all the time.
@Ndindu peana advice hapa.
MImi hutumia Linux Mint, ndio niliona ikikaribia kufanana na Windows. It mostly uses Ubuntu repositories but has a smoother leaning curve for newbies coming from Windows environments.
You can also install it in Dual Boot setup and select the OS to use during boot. That is what I did before ditching Gates’ bloatware laden OS for good.
I have been installing Zorin OS for customers for quite a while now. Most are ladies because the UI is made to make it easier for users to easily transition from MacOS and Windows. Although it has refused to work on a client’s 2005 Dell as currently I’m formatting MX Linux on it.
Even this generic Atom.
the only thing that keeps me on windows is video encoders. As soon as NVENC and QUICKSYNC work as efficiently and produce the same quality as in Windows, I will never touch Windows again.
Encoding video in Linux especially with OBS there’s always a lot of dropped frames and worse quality at the same presets as on Windows.
Just seen Linux has launched Zorin OS 18 for those who are moving from Windows 10.
Zorin is not 100% free. There are features you need to pay to unlock
I understand unafaa kulipia Zorin Pro. Does that also apply to Zorin Core and Zorin Lite?
Only pro is paid version. I interacted with it iko fine. Speeds pia ziko fiti with friendly UI. Downside yake is similar to any Linux distro out there… community support ni ngumu you will spend more hours troubleshooting than actually using it especially if it is your first time using Linux.
