Since he played the Euros he has never taken the team out of group stages. With him in the team Sweden has never qualified for world cup but once he retired the team suddenly bounced back and beat Italy to qualify for the world cup.
Recently he said that Sweden needed him to win the games which led to him being told to accept the fact that Sweden is better off without him.
