Poor people do not pay taxes. Period. They thrive on the sweat of the few who toil their asses all week long and are taxed to death so that the poor man can get free medicine, roads and free education for their children. Yet, the poor people being the majority, have a crucial vote that determines who will be president, MCA, MP, etc. I have no idea who came up with the idea that voting is everybody’s right. Voting is a very important process for any country and should be left to those who

[li]fund the government operations, including the voting[/li][li]understand the effect of the candidate they vote[/li][li]are to be affected by the candidates they vote in.[/li][/ol]
See, it is like candidates presenting themselves for an interview for the company CEO, and then you call the cleaners to come and interview them. The CEO will always be interviewed by the shareholders (through a board, etc) since this is the person expected to drive their interests.
Government operations rely on the taxes we pay, just like your family survives on the money you make. If you do not contribute to the taxes, then you should have no business voting for people to spend or control how the tax money should be used. If someone does not contribute to the family kitty, they have no business telling you how it should be used. You can’t enjoy the gains if you haven’t experienced the pains. Non-taxpayers have no care about the candidate they vote in since they really aren’t affected in any way when someone messes our economy. When taxes are raised, it is the taxpayers who suffer. When the shilling weakens, it is use taxpayers who suffer. That is why those guys will vote for a thief who will mess our economy just because they were given some 500 bob.
Is it possible to amend the constitution so that the power of your vote is dependent on the amount of taxes you have paid?
they also buy cooking oil, and other stuff, the VAT rate is about 16%. Also most rich riverroad businessmen and landlords only pay VAT hizo taxes zingine hapana tambua
When am buying cooking oil for 1,000 bob, they buy ya 10 bob. or they steal the transformer to milk the oil there for their chips. Their taxes are negligible.
but you know cumulatively they pay more taxes than the upper classes in society. KRA does not look at them individually but as a tax bracket and the lumpsum contribution
ION niko dryspell bring one of your single friends to Red Office over the weekend we talk about taxation, and the fluidity of the various brackets, we may also exchange fluids with her
Actually, the cooking oil bought at 1,000 is sold cumulatively at 2,000 in the slum. So as much as they are paying 10/- per unit, they are being fucked . The chap buying at 1000 is getting more value for money.
The poor are taxed. The middle class are taxed the most. The real billionaires are taxed the least. So, this is really just another Middle class rant.
Have you got figures to support this assertion? In my village, there are like 20 taxpayers and 1000 non-tax payers. kama ni VAT zote tunalipa. And I am sure I pay more VAT coz i shop more. Mimi nikitumia gas/stima kupika jamaa anatumia makaa. Makaa hulipiwa tax wapi?
True. The only way to raise the country to a developed status is to prevent poor people from breeding. Uko na link ya hio thread?
