Since the last election, there have been a few renovations in stadiums, but most of these have been conducted by county governments. We’re yet to see a single stadium constructed by the national government from the ground up.
Do we need another stadium in Nairobi? I think Nairobi is ok. Let us focus on areas such as Nyeri and Garissa which have no stadiums and then we upgrade the ones in north rift and western kenya
We only have two “world class” stadia and someone wants be to believe that Kenya is ahead of Italy and South Africa in infrastructure; countries that have previously hosted the world cup. Sisi hata kuhost CECAFA tunahema smh
Unlike stadiums, the SGR stations and railroad will serve all Kenyans and not be home to ungrateful hooligans or staging places for year-round political rallies and silly dances.
In the second term, expect the stadiums to be built. Laptop ziko, stima inasambazwa, barabara 7000 km. One thing at a time.
Yesterday I spent most of the day going to almost all corners of the city and the only thing that was constant is how Nairobi is falling apart. Granted there are some major road projects going on eg Outer Ring rd and Ngong rd(both which I drove on in my day long excursion) but you can’t fail to notice the filth and the crumbling infrastructure. Kenyans we are cursed.
Just as you would expect…this is actually the first government to fulfill more than half of it’s promises. I don’t even care if they build stadiums or not. People rarely ever watch football matches in this country unless ni epl ama national team.
