If you truly love God, you will naturally love your neighbor, for God’s love compels us to desire the best for others, including their repentance and reconciliation with Him.
As Scripture says, God wishes that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). But if you harbor hatred for your neighbor, you reveal a deeper issue—a heart that, in truth, harbors animosity toward God.
For how can you claim to love God, whom you have not seen, if you do not love your neighbor, whom you have seen?
Loving God and loving your neighbor are inseparable; to hate one is to deny the love of the other.
