Woman charged with Texas mother's murder arrested in Tanzania

AUSTIN, Texas — The U.S. Marshals announced on Feb. 14 that Kathleen Wylumva Ngongoseke, 27, who is accused of killing her mother, Catherine Lyamvi Ngongoseke, in Travis County, has now been arrested in the Republic of Tanzania.

Travis County Sheriff’s Office officials said Kathleen Ngongoseke fled the country and they were working with the host country in an effort to get her back to the U.S. She has been charged with murder.

Wylumva Kathleen Ngongoseke is an American woman of Tanzanian descent.
