REGURGITATED
The sun will rise today as it has always done each morning.
It will rise each day.
Nothing strange or unique about that.
It is only you who will one day refuse to open your eyes, because you will be too dead to do that.
As Simaro Lutumba said, the boat will die but the shores will remain. You are the boat.
When that day comes, the sun will not refuse to rise because you are dead.
No one will refuse to eat their hard earned ugali, because you are dead.
Your people will dig a hole, put you in, cover it with soil, then sit in a shade to enjoy a meal of beef as they discuss politics.
A stranger will sit on your tombstone to light up his “kiraiku” to refresh and catch up some fresh air, before going back to chew your wife, like sugarcane
Many more years after, no one will remember your name around your neighborhood, because you will be long dead.
You are as temporary as an erection. Don’t feel too important.
Carry yourself with as minimal pride as it can be possible because a human being is a flower which only blossoms on measured time.
Your wealth or status or salvation will not immunize you from this harsh reality
This cap was meant for a specific head but you can wear it, if it fits your head, as well.
Good morning my fellow hoof eaters!!
