Meru High Court judge Lady Justice Thripsisa Cherere has overturned a 15 year sentence handed to a Mohammed Hussein for child defilement. Hussein was found guilty of living and having sexual relations with a 16 year old girl and was sentenced to 15 years in prison back in November last year by a Magistrate Court.
Overturning the ruling Justice Cherere said the girl “behaved like an adult and showed no indication that she was a minor” adding that the two had "openly lived as man and wife
