Long ago I used to point out issues concerning Somalians and some Kenyans would say: somali this Somali that we are tired. Its interesting when UDA came to power and Trump got the presidency the real issues of fraud, inability to integrate, intolerance and loyalty became well exposed. Now everywhere people are seeing what they were not seeing long ago.
It’s my considered opinion content creators unknowingly advance baseless claims. If you know any, tell them to ground their allegations in facts when praising Somalians.

Now about Kenya, it is a mismanaged state. That’s why people acquire IDs fraudently.
Also, what is the role of NIS? Do they have an economic or finance division that purely looks at threats to the nations economic well being?
It’s very disappointing for a whole president to announce that he will launch PPP project then later on details emerge that the Chinese government will do scrutiny for projects above 1 billion dollars. To make matters worse, a feasibility study is announced after a scheduled launch.
I thought all Kenyan embassies should prepare something like a country fact book detailing key facts that should aid GoK in decision making. Like the embassy in China should have given the GoK a fact file on Chinese laws and regulations that they should always consider when dealing with Chinese firms on such PPP projects.
It looks like no one in Kenya knew of that requirement. Similar embarrassments always happen and we here the government have a contract to a non existing firm from somewhere, or a firm that had been red zoned.
We really joke as a country, or people in positions are incompetent.
We have a visionary president. I had earlier considered his moves on selling to UG some stake in KPC. On the bright side it’s not a bad idea.
Look at it this way, first it will be like Safaricom, so we have a reference. Second, we lost as a country when UG went to Tanzania, so how do we get them and minimize our loses?
The answer is to give them what they have always wanted. From what I understood, UG buying shares through the Nairobi Stock market means for whatever reasons, we can buy back those shares or increase our shareholding.
Furthermore, we lose very little if we pipe Turkana crude to Hoima refinery for refining but gain more. I hope our negotiators have advanced our interest by ensuring things like our border with Uganda will be respected including in Migingo. Also, they should ensure Uganda helps in getting south Sudan cooperate and get the kenya south Sudan boundary solved and a treaty signed. Also,we can use a strongman like museveni to push and get a similar settlement with somalia and sign a maritime boundary treaty.
After all, our most important crude and gas finds are likely to be offshore. Instead of expensively extracting from Turkana and investing in expensive pipelines, we can plug into UGs.
That way we will have solved the mess that happened under Uhuru by letting UG go to TZ. All in all, the future of crude oil is sometimes threatened by the push to migrate to greener energy, let Uganda dwell their as we look into the future.
End of thinking.
