Human beings have always fantasized space travel probably even interstellar trips. But why would we think of excursions to the nearest galaxies while we haven’t visited the nearest celestial bodies in our neighborhood? But to do so, we must first design a vehicle that travels at very high speed. We could try at least a spaceship moving at a tenth of the speed of light (3.0×10^8 m/s). This means that we can make it to the sun in 80 minutes. It will take only a couple of hours to the farthest planet in the solar system.
We will visit Mars, return to the moon countless times (if at all we ever went there).
We can also visit the numerous moons of Jupiter, Saturn Neptune and even probe deep into Uranus. Maybe we shall be surprised to meet some dwarf humanoid creatures talking in a language similar to Pokot and boiling githeri without beans like we did when they were out of supply. From there we can venture to the neighbouring stars and further away
You’ve not even reached the bottom of the Marian trench , deepest part of the ocean.
The solar system is overrated. A molecule of water has more hydrogen atoms than the solar system has stars.
We have only one tiny star
We have not discovered men gspot
Gay men?
“But why would we think of excursions to the nearest galaxies while we haven’t visited the nearest celestial bodies in our neighborhood?”
Remove the word “we”. That travel is for other races not yours! Learn how to manufacture a simple machine like a bicycle or to make lasting roads first and visit your neighbouring village.
By we I mean the representatives of the human race. The white people of course. Maybe a few Japanese and Chinese also
I think the white man already launched an intergalactic mission a long time ago, but results and feedback will get back to earth 4 million years later because of space time continuum dynamics
