Letās not confuse Africans and black people. Itās black people everywhere in the world who have a problem. Left to their own devices, they are incompetent, will loot, plunder, mismanage and when elections come, elect the biggest thief in the bunch. It will never change because itās baked in their DNA.
I think the most important question to ask ourselves is what would these guys first change? The sole reason why we live in a shithole is because we have shitstems. Corruption thrives and maintains the shithole state of things here because all systems are designed to keep us that way.
So we donāt need a different leadership cos even if you elect 300+ good hearted MPs in Parliament in the current set up we would still get the same ROI aided by a shitstem.
So what we really need (this is only easier said here than done on the ground) is a system that does not favour corruption, greed, a bloated government, attracting people to public service purely based on transforming into a millionaire instead of by virtue of service delivery with a decent pay etc.
A good system ensures the hoi poloi gets proper civic education (randomly ask anyone you meet on the road what the work of each of the 6 contested seats and youāll be amazed at the answers), it ensures we do not have poor people becos of a lopsided economic arrangement, ensures tax regimes attract investors who help in job creation for millions of people, ensure the loan facilities encourage entrepreneurship, ensure government creates an enabling environment without this so called āpersonal interestā or ācronyismā at the back bone of government action.
Otherwise changing politicians will never change anything cos theyāre all there becos the current system favors corruption, cronyism, greed, state capture and so on

To me, it all comes down to low IQ leadership and failure to take responsibility. Government agencies, the likes of EACC, CID, DPP etc have people being paid in millions to safeguard the system but they do nothing, and citizens suffer. Politicians and government representatives promote selfish policies that only benefit them na si Mkenya wa kawaida. Thatās why it is very easy for Mpigs to unanimously agree waongezewe salo but take ages to pass bills that address healthcare, development and socioeconomic progress. Worse still, government leaders wenye wanapatikana kwa makosa peupe, corruption, scandals, embezzlement of public funds etc walk scot-free because public agencies cannot do shit. Accountability and responsibility bado itaendelea kuwa donda sugu.
Imagine a country that would even contemplate putting someone like Ruto in power, a man who is addicted to campaigns and a terrible thief. These are the same fellows calling others low IQ.
:D:D Myself and many others. But I think sometimes it is just selfishness. When a leader is voted in or appointed for any particular office, he/she should understand that he/she now bears the responsibility of millions of people not just those of one individual or a close group. So they should instead redefine their mindset and work for the people because of the Office they will be then occupying. They must be accountable for that Office because the name also changes and is accompanied by titles that identify them with that Office.
Generally, I donāt like it that 32 grown nyeuthi have commented on the Question āwhy is Africa poorā without mentioning the biggest driver of Africas sad state.
How much natural resources wealth leaves Africa each year ?
Which people control and profit from African nutural resources?
Have those people been just seating there watching Africans build up capacity to eventually kick them out and take control of the resources?
Since the sixties African countries āindependenceā, have US/EU favoured African leaders who stood up for African interests in treaties and agreements.
Which Corrupt African leaders and dictators stayed in power the longest Vs which ones did US/EU get directly involved to kill (e.g Lumumba, Sankara, Gaddafi)
Now call it blaming others for our problems but here is my Answer to why Africa is poor:
There are several reasons but the biggest one is that the most powerful governments (US/EU) and companies have all along worked together to ensure Africans remains poor as a way of safeguard their continued profiting from Africas resources to the exclusion of Africans.
US/EU and their companies have all along used their considerable power to support corrupt African leaders get in and stay in power .
For an African leader of a country with any meaningful resources, having integrity and standing up for Africans right to xyz resourcesā¦that kind of African leader is automatically an enemy of US/EU.
Victim mentality is a symptom of low IQ.
Low IQs donāt take responsibility and going by your line or reasoning, Africa will remain a poor continent until the West approves.
Upus. Selfishness is a human present in both high and low IQ.
Hio accountability unasema haiwezekani because high IQ people in this case leaders donāt respect low IQ citizens and would never be accountable to them.
Itās just nature.
Kenyans huwanga na theories nyingi yet still elect the most corrupt of representatives, who after campaigning will relocate to leafy suburbs of Nairobi to shield themselves the pesky electorate (after all, they bribed their way with handouts into getting the votes).
Ile nyimbo ya āwajinga sisiā why is it not being played everywhere at the moment?
Hapo kwa democracy youāre wrong, democracy comes with rule of law which is foreign to Africans coming from village chief system.
For example jayden bbi was turned down by rule of law the Saudi kings are extremely rich and corrupt
