Shout out to this great African man from Gabon, the late Oliver Ngoma
who told you he was not famous? Anyone who appreciates African music knows Oliver Ngoma.
i am not aware of him. i know ali toumani, salif keita, manu dibango, oliver mtukudzi, baaba maal, yossour n’dour, ferre gola, the venerable kofi olomide and some other legendary late ones like papa wemba, ali farka toure, madillu system, and many others i cant list here but I dont know this man.
Age mates wa Kimani Maruge hebu kojoeni mlale…lakini I’ve heard the second song a few times, just didn’t know the singer.
When Souk music transcended the African continent. Now that beautiful genre is stuck somewhere in Tchad and Mali.
That there my bro, is a timeless piece of music in a beat you can relate to. It is not even that old. very popular in the carribeans
ignorance doesnt mean you are up to date.
I have listened to his songs. I have an avaricious appetite for artistes of yester years.
Oliver is known in Kenya… there are many zouk lovers i know… my dad being one… grew up listening to oliver, kassav et al.
When you don’t know your music, we can only describe you as stupid. This goes to the Deorro generation who pretend to sleep and eat American music.
Music safi sana.
apo safi kabisa…calls for a beer
It’s only in your head he wasn’t famous . Kama ulikuwa unaenda bar in 90’s this was the music . Inakaa wewe ni wa 2000s kama hiyo party yenu you defend with tooth and nail
Sweep asubuhi sio muzuri tena Sunday

Your limited knowledge of the subject matter is glaringly apparent.
Nani amesema this guy is not famous in Kenya?. Weee wacha hiyo maneno bwana
Huyu ni mtu wetu wa rhumba tunamtambua sana
I have been a great fan of his music since long long ago.
Oliver Ng’oma was Naturally talented and was ahead of his time.According to me, him and guitarist lokassa ya M’bongo were the most underrated african talents. I think music is 20% talent and 80% showmanship
