WHY CAN'T THE WAR STOP IN CONGO DRC?

The Democratic Republic of the Congo, also known as DR Congo has become the shame of Africa and a tragedy of monumental proportion. Women and children are routinely raped and abused, innocent people are killed, corruption is endemic and the government is in absolute shambles.

Why the turmoil in DR Congo never ends? Could it be because of it’s resources? Or the despots who have governed that beautiful country for decades? Could it be the multinational companies that are milking the country? Or have our gods cursed the country? Why is Africa silent? Could it be because they too are profiting from the fall of the mighty giant of Africa? Congo is larger than Western Europe, beautiful and encompasses wonderful landscape and amazing natural forest, rivers and tall mountains.

People make a lot of money looting natural resources from this unstable country. Especially foreigners. That is why they fund warlords/rebels and arm them in exchange for minerals and other items like hardwood and ivory.

The garden of Eden, full of precious resources of all kind the world has known yet a cursed nation. Why? Blame it on Belgium and the world reknown peaceful thug UN. It’s neighbours Rwanda and Uganda are the pawns. Wonder why museveni is still around with his dictatorial leadership?

Canadian firms have a large stake in congo minerals. Congo needs a Mugabe or a Gadaffi for 20 years. Say no to the west and look eastwards. create a semblance of proper governance and make their resources to work for them. a real dictator with muscle to stop the west and get allies to avoid being bombed.

Congo makes African Union meetings look foolish. They should change it from AU to CU - Cowards Union.
Libya was destroyed right under its nose. Congo has never had stability as far as I can remember.
EU would never allow this madness in its territory as it should.

90% of presidents have legitimacy issues at home or are encroaching someones border.
They cant get too idealistic at the AU because they don’t want to start a trend where AU pressures members to reform their societies.
