Don’t you know that this world is under the dominion of Satan? When Eve sinned, she gave away our “title deed” which Jesus had to come on earth in order to redeem back what was lost. The spiritual work is finished but taking back the earth, redeeming our bodies from the corruptible to the incorruptible is an ongoing process. That’s why you find even Christians getting cancer or dying in road accidents just like sinners. Even though death has no hold over their souls, their bodies and the earth are still under Satan’s captivity.
To answer your question, it makes perfect sense that sinful people and nations appear more prosperous because they follow the devil, and he is in charge of worldly affairs. The Bible says if you have the love of the world in you, the love of the Father is not in you. You must hate the world because it belongs to Satan.

Satan is not more powerful than God, I meant that he is in control of the world (because of what Eve did in Eden and what God allows). Disobedience to God’s Word has terrible consequences which we are sadly living out to this day.

In the garden of Eden, God said, “let US make man in OUR image.” Who was God talking to? A pre-figuration of Jesus Christ. If God the Eternal died even for a split second the world wouldn’t exist because the world is His creation and He is the Life force.
I do not believe in evolution because it is contrary to Creationism. The devil is very cunning, he can even transform himself into an angel of light in order to deceive many. Since Satan cannot create, he can only obfuscate, contort and distort the truth, the science of evolution does seem very appealing to man (on the surface), but on closer inspection you realize that more faith is needed to believe in that hocus pocus than simply trusting in an intelligent Creator.
