Who owns the Narrative "Hustler vs Dynasties is a call to Class-War"

When this debate started, Ruto never talked about Hustler vs Dynasties. He simply talked about Hustling from Poverty, and gave himself as an example.

In all fairness, the narrative of Hustlers vs Dynasty and Class-War is a bastardized version of what Ruto is talking about - and it has been versioned by the well to-do political class like Murathe. Lets be fair and check facts.

It is insulting to the Hustler to suggest that an agenda about his/her issues is a plot to violently invade the wealth of the rich.

These guys are using ‘fear’ tricks to stop Ruto. That is not honest public engagement to a discussion on '22 election Agenda issues.

We should not be afraid to have an honest discussion of Hustlers challenges. And what is wrong about talking about class disparities if they exists? Talking about these issues with a good spirit and clear conscience is not Dog Whistle to class war.

In the meantime, they want the Narrative to be about Tribes, new position and a more blotted government.

I am not a Ruto supporter. I am simply bringing this up now for the record and future reference.

the other side has been arrogant.

And Afraid - afraid not so much about wealth or class-war (that is just drama), but about the show being stolen from them

Actually class war will not affect the very rich. It will affect the local village shop owner who will be viewed by the poorer young people as “dynasty.” The rich will scramble choppers and get the fakk out.

Ruto in fact has never talked about Dynasties vs Hustlers. Its mainly his competitors who have branded his narrative of hustlers that… I have never heard Ruto himself anywhere talking about Dynasties… His focus has been on Hustlers

This is probably what is going to happen but I think unfortunately hustler movement is gaining momentum and it is sort of different from the kawaida tribalism politicians spew election time. And that difference is why Ruto might win even though he is the wrong candidate for that movement. Of course he can’t fight corruption or dynasties because he plans to be one. But people who got wheelbarrows are very happy and they are buying what he’s selling.

And for a good reason…a village madman and someone whom hustlers resonate really well with kama sonko has the capability of taking over such an idea from both ruto and uhuru camp and run with it…hopefully nobody will be stupid enough to whisper this to him because unlike a billionaire hustler like Ruto, a real chokosh like sonko has no ability to control the masses( expectations) once he gets them in his corner and wins

Stop alternating to small fonts as if unasema kitu ya maana

The use of the term “Dynasty” in this case should blamed on MURATHE. Other than that, while I have sympathy for the guy, what is new here? Kenyans react like this in an accident all the time. Correct? The only thing that is new is the term “Dynasty” that the likes of Murathe have introduced to Ruto’s Hustler Brand. They should not use this unfortunate incident to fuel their fight against Ruto. They should use real substance such as challenging Ruto to show specific Actionable items he intends to implement to better the hustlers daily struggle.

Ruto himself does not want a well defined hustler narrative because he will be found out. He is okay with the class war because nobody talks about how he has been misusing his power to get richer.
Expect more conflicts because both Ruto and Raila have nothing to offer

Both sides are arrogant. They are repeating the same lies and are doing nothing to even pretend to be uplifting the lives of Kenyans

Its Ruto and his ilk who started dynasty talk to target Raila. I remember it clearly… he was talking about how he rose from nothing and that those who their fathers held power waachie wengine. Dynasty by definition.

Problem with such narratives is that they talk to emotions. Deep emotions which have a way of being interpreted into personal situations facing an individual. Who is a dynasty in his neighbourhood since Uhuru and Raila are too far away? Once they do, they are hard to control, whether Ruto said it or not, he threw a snow ball on the side of a mountain. Now its rolling much bigger and can form an avalanche by the time it reaches the bottom.

History is filled with examples. Hitler started Jews are taking too much from Germany…millions died later. Currently trump targeted the emotions of right wing whites loosing grip of America to liberals and Immigrants. If Ruto takes power, having divided Kenya into classes in a narrative he has lost control of to obtain it, like a witchcraft ritual, what will the price to pay? Is peace in a classwar the price? If not will he be able to tone down the expectations of ‘hustlers’ because they wont grow rich suddenly…

Ero_Maasai, I do not completely agree with you on who started this dynasty non-sense. But you have completely captured my point. So far both sides have been recklessly feeding this snowball that they will soon be unable to control, including journalists, bloggers and thoughtless OPEDS. Let’s agree on this - the rhetoric of classwar has to stop on both sides now. It can take a life of it’s own that no one intended.

This should be a wake-up call for the middle class kenyans to be active in our politics. Utangoja gari yako ya loan ichomwe eti juu wanaona wewe ni ‘dynasty’ ama utasema wewe pia ni hustler?

This narrative is owned and propagated by deep state to disorganize Ruto
