Well there was foreign DNA on the CS not belonging to any family member or house keeper that does not match any suspects, confessed or otherwise, you do know that the law cannot go on nothing but a confession if theres no independent factors and supporting forensic evidence especially for capital crimes? .
There was a mistake in forensic evidence determination meaning the DNA found on the girls underwear was from the factory where it was made belonging to one of the workers there thats why it did not match any of the suspects, meaning any of the listed above might be the killer.
The main suspect was John Mark Karr because according to his confession he said he did not act alone, and on the crime scene there were two sets of different foot prints and this was some years later because he had escaped to Bangkok to evade arrest and by this time the DNA evidence has been discarded as part of the evidence. By this time of Karr’s arrest he was arrested on child pornography case not the jonbenet case, thus the court could not consider his confession and convict him because all in all he was arrested on another case.
Who did the footprints belong to? So if you wash underwear from a factory the DNA of workers who made it will remain and by the way they say she was sexually assaulted with a stick that is like a paintbrush. The same stick or part of it was used to tie the ligature that was used to asphixiate her.
The underwear was not washed we couldn’t tell and mark karr said he did not act alone maybe the DNA sample belonged to the second unidentified suspect
Mark karr sent an email to a journalism professor named Michael Tracey and in the email he used similar words as to the ones on the ransom note he even used patsy’s mother nickname “neddie” in an email
On the DNA issue a DNA expert Dr. Henry lee who was involved in the O.J Simpson’s case proved that the DNA samples found on benet’s underwear was from the manufacturing process he proved it by opening a new sets of underwear from the manufacturer which also has foreign DNA on them.
