Who is well versed with the new Education registration of students.

Juzi as some of you might remember I had a predicament involving my sisters birth certificate. Basically some other ninja had used her Birth certificate entry number to register for the unique identifier. I sough help here and after the old musee @gashwin stereotypical meffi I had to pull the post down until the facts of the matter were established.

Anyways yesterday I was at the department of civil registration and true to my words my Sisters birth certificate is ORIGINAL. They verified it but they told me the kind of had no access to the education portal so ni rudi tu shule armed with the verified birth certificate. Knowing the state of that school doubt ntasaidiwa.

Surprisingly there were other parents in the same ferking situation!Am wondering does the MOE just register birth certificate without even verifying the names match.what should I do from here assuming the school is of little help? Playing Dad is not easy.

Teacher @gashwin

Wouldn’t it be better is you followed it up with the ministry, that seems as if it would need some correction from their end, I doubt the school can rectify such an issue. I understand even password resets are done by the ministry, so I doubt a school would have the rights to edit such details. Lakini the teachers around can educate us more on the same.

out of curiosity, is the other kid registered under your sisters birth certificate, from the same school.

:D:D:D:D:Dhio nyang’au tumezoeana.,.nikiipatia advice itatumia advice halafu initukane so am not surprised.

uko na pesa ngapi

that NEMIS system is very fucked up. Wait for the developer to realize how he fucked it up watajua hawajui.

Okay guys by the grace of God the tough Nomad has managed to fix the issue. I went to the school today with the birth certificate expecting different results somehow… Sat with the principal and showed him the verified birth certificate from the Department of civil registration and told him the problem is now from either his side or the MOE and not us.

Anyways after brainstorming on the issue for a while he told me he managed to fix 2 other student’s issue by simply putting 0 before the BC number but the same was not successful with my sisters. I don’t know how it hit me but I told him to replace the one letter on her BC entry number with 0 after observing most students BC entry number had no letter and EUREKA her name and date of birth came up!!!. In fact she got a permanent unique identifier as she was already in the integrated population system unlike most students who have to wait 30 days for verification.so basically it seems the NEMIS system does not recognise letters in the Birth certificate entry number. Nimeskia visuuuuri sana. So in short if your kid may have the same issue try replacing the letter before the BC entry number if there is any with 0.

cc Ngombe musee @gashwin and others.

congratulations na pole kwa masumbuko.

That registration was hurried. They should have started with this year candidates and the next immediate 2 classes

it is never too early. with new technology, systems you make mistakes and learn from them…
