THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF KIMANI WAMATANGI IN 2008
Kiambu Governor Paul Kimani Wamatangi was the ringleader of a car Importation syndicate that was selling stolen luxurious cars in the UK. According to the Court documents of the case filed at Luton Court, Wamatangi dodged authorities in the UK and Kenya. Investigations established that Wamatangi quietly sneaked back to Kenya in 2009 and went into hiding ( died) .
That’s how the joint Investigations by DCI, Interpol and UK’s National Crime Agency were thrown off the scent.
The Court Documents show that Paul Kimani Wamatangi died in October , 2008 and a Death and Funeral Announcement ( Obituary) was placed in the Nation and The Standard Newspapers . This prompted the UK’s National Crime Agency, through the UK High Commission to dispatch a team of detectives to Wamatangi’s Matrimonioal home . At Wamatangi’s home, her sister showed them his grave complete with a Cross engraved with Paul Kimani. The name and the date of death corresponded with the Newspaper Obituaries. This prompted the Interpol to close the File .
A postmortem report filed at the UK’s Luton Court showed that Wamatangi died of a heart attack caused by TB.
The Investigators reopened the file in May 2021 after a section of Kenyans wrote to Interpol informing them that the late Paul Kimani who was wanted for high profile theft and fraud in the UK was alive and is now a respected politician, going by the name Kimani Wamatangi.
The informer revealed that Kimani Wamatangi hails from kabete and not Limuru Constituency where his grave is .
Paul Kimani died in 2008 , later resurrected as Kimani Wamatangi and joined Politics. His Death and Resurrection is a great motivation to the Christian Faith that through Jesus Christ, there’s Death and Resurrection.
