Is there anyone in the house still clinging to it? Honestly, Windows feels less like an operating system and more like a belief system—almost a religion, with its own rituals and devoted followers. Christianity has its churches; Windows has its desktops.
I use MacOS. What do you use?
I still cling on it in the hopes that someone will make a Black XP 2.0 complete with the alienware theme.
i use arch btw
I can’t even begin to be bothered which version that is since the last version of Linux I used was Fedora 9. I’m sure some debianhead will explain it to me, though.
Windows 10 was excellent but they decided to “fix it” and then make most devices unable to access windows 11 so that you buy more Microsoft products
I stay on windows purely for the legacy Direct3D support. Otherwise I’d simply install some basic Ubuntu distro and make my computer 2x faster.
Linux mint
Thats how capitalism works my brother. Otherwise Microsoft watatengeneza pesa aje?

They make billions of license keys let alone hardware
Am still on window 7,tho custom os
In the past you could justify the cost of a license key as the cost of printing the physical media. But nowadays, you get a key in your email from an infinite generator. So the cost is down to the power and magnetic storage. That explains why Amazon can make lots of money by basically making a virtual usb drive (S3 Web) into an entire company. And he mints birrions.
I’m Windows 11 though I run a custom memory manager from some guy on github. First sign that a program was made by app developers = memory hogging.
