I am of the opinion that there should be a considerable pay gap between line, middle level and senior management. It acts as an incentive for employees in lower cadres to work harder and get promoted. Why should I seek to be CEO of Kenya airways if Ill still earn and live like the Marketing manager?

Any developed country ( Which the US is not part of ,story for another day) the least payed and the highest paid gap is quite narrow, check out Scandinavian countries ,where you find presidents and prime ministers cycling to work and there numbers are in the telephone directory , you can them up and have a chat!
