While Trumptards Are Whining, We're Winning..

President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris defeated Donald Trump twice this year: once at the polls and again for Time’s Person of the Year.

Time’s choice to name Biden and Harris over Trump, who was also shortlisted, marks the first time a president-elect and vice president-elect have appeared together on a Person of the Year cover. Harris is also the first vice president-elect to get the designation.

“If Donald Trump was a force for disruption and division over the past four years, Biden and Harris show where the nation is heading: a blend of ethnicities, lived experiences and worldviews that must find a way forward together if the American experiment is to survive,” the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Edward Felsenthal said.

Biden reacted to the news on Twitter.

“I’m honored to be Person of the Year with @KamalaHarris and grateful to be on this list with so many extraordinary folks,” he wrote.
“From front line workers to racial justice organizers, Americans met this year with strength, fortitude, and an unflinching belief in a brighter tomorrow.”

Harris is the country’s first female, first Black, and first South Asian vice president-elect. Biden, who at 78 will be the oldest person ever to assume the presidency, is also the oldest ever to be named Person of the Year by the magazine. He follows Greta Thunberg, the Swedish climate activist who last year became the youngest ever to receive the honor — at age 16.
Biden and Harris made the cut after topping a shortlist that included the movement for racial justice, Dr. Anthony Fauci and front-line workers in the fight against COVID-19.
But the choice of Biden isn’t exactly a surprise, as selecting a president-elect for Person of the Year is a nearly nine-decade-old tradition at the magazine. The first president-elect named Person of the Year (then “Man of the Year”) was Franklin Delano Roosevelt, in 1932, for his New Deal plan to bring America out of the Great Depression.

What of healthcare workers who have sacrificed their lives for the pandemic? Time Magazine issa scam.

I know what’s aching you…and why you are whining… :D:D:D

five issues on the frontline workers and counting

Valid concern. Though I suspect that if it was Trump, you’d have no beef with it?

I think you too should get a copy of that collector’s item. It will be worth a pretty penny in the years to come. :D:D:D

It’s not the same. This is like when Obama was given a Nobel for doing absolutely nothing. By the end of his term he had achieved the exact opposite of what the award was intended for.

Hard pass.

Oh okay. There is still time for DJT to get a Nobel peace price, ama!! He is probably the best president the world has seen;);). The smartest, tallest, most handsome, most generous, most peaceful. The closest to God himselufu:D:D

Sour grapes

Well, he is tied at first position with Abe. Not an easy decision but for modesty’s sake let’s just say it’s a tie for best POTUS, ever.

On the issue of Trump being awarded a Nobel peace prize, he deserves it far more than Obama but kina Soros would die 10x before allowing it to happen. Trump has actually done what his predecessors couldn’t, that’s a fact. Israel and the Middle East is enjoying historic peace, whereas Obama left it in flames.

Obama’s was for “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between people”.
Yet trump was almost considered for the same, israel and UAE’s accord ,leaving the palestinians holding a wooden spoon still languish under occupation,if anything, after taking a shower one changes into clean clothes and not forgeting some clean undies, that deal is a farce,an agreement UAE took to stop the annexation of large parts of the West Bank which trump should have started with, now uae has strange bedfellows. I was in abu dhabi in august and two KFC’s exploded in one afternoon, same day EL AL airways touches down in uae,it never made news and was blamed on faulty wiring sijui gas nini nini, kfc is far popular in arab countries, coincidence?

Mine or theirs?

Team trump

You become the person of the year just because you won in a shambolic election? Disgusting!

How was it shambolic bwana?

Trump finally won something… :D:D:D

Donald Trump has been branded “loser of the year” by one of Europe’s biggest news magazines, as President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris were named Time Magazine’s "Person of the Year."

Der Spiegel, one of Germany’s most widely read German-language news websites, published a long article in German about the president under the headline “Der Verlierer des Jahres,” which translates as “The Loser of the Year.”

The article, published on Thursday, criticized the president for refusing to concede the election to Biden and described him as “a man who … was never concerned with the common good, but always with one thing - himself.”

“Nothing is normal under Trump,” the article, written by the publication’s Washington bureau chief and a Berlin-based correspondent, said.

“He refuses to admit defeat. Instead, he speaks of massive electoral fraud, although there is no evidence for it. The whole thing is not surprising. Trump’s presidency ends as it began. Without decency and without dignity.”

Trump has since allowed the process of transition to Biden’s administration but has refused formally to concede, instead continuing to repeat unsubstantiated claims that the election was rigged against him.

Polls have consistently indicated that Trump is deeply unpopular in Germany. Pew Research Center, a polling company, found in surveys carried out in 2020 that roughly three-in-four Germans lacked confidence in the US president.

The article was published online on the same day that Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris were named Time magazine’s “person of the year.” Time said that “the Biden-Harris ticket represents something historic,” and said the award was “not just about the year that was, but about where we’re headed.”

Trump coveted the Time Magazine award himself for many years — and frequently complained that he had not received it — until he was given the recognition he sought in 2016.

The previous year, when German chancellor Angela Merkel was named as Time’s “person of the year,” Trump vented on Twitter that he had not received the award and said Merkel was “ruining Germany.”

“I knew last year that @TIME Magazine lost all credibility when they didn’t include me in their Top 100…,” he tweeted in 2012.

A fake photo of Trump mocked up as Time’s person of the year was also discovered being displayed prominently in one of Trump’s golf clubs, as reported by The Washington Post in 2017.

MAGA world has gone into total meltdown after the U.S. Supreme Court dismissed a bizarre Trump-endorsed lawsuit on Friday seeking to overturn the results of the presidential election.

Many of the president’s staunchest supporters believed that the Supreme Court, with its Trump-appointed justices, would eventually come to the president’s rescue in his failing election fraud crusade.

But, with their hopes crushed, some of the wackiest sycophants took to Twitter and alt right-friendly app Parler to call for civil war or secession—all because their guy lost.

“If the Supreme Court can’t save our republic, then where is the military?” former Fox News pundits and unofficial Trump “advisers” Diamond & Silk tweeted Friday evening. “Trying to overthrow the Government by exploiting a Pandemic, thus implementing rules that break our election laws, is unconstitutional. If the DOJ and the FBI can’t do their jobs, then where is the military? This is a Coup!”

Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway and Rochelle “Silk” Richardson later clarified that they believe the military, which has no involvement in election auditing, should conduct a “forensic audit” in swing states, focusing on ballot boxes and dominion machines.

In Washington, D.C., “Stop the Steal” protesters spilled into the streets shouting, “Destroy the GOP” and calling fellow conservatives like Ben Shapiro and Charlie Kirk “subversives.”

At another D.C. event called the Jericho Rally, Stuart Rhodes, founder of the anti-government militia group Oath Keepers, demanded that Trump invoke the Insurrection Act, which allows him to deploy the military to suppress civilians.

And if the president does not take this step? “We’re going to have to do it ourselves later in a much more desperate, much more bloody war,” Rhodes said.

This came after the chair of the Texas GOP, Allen West, released a batshit statement condemning the Supreme Court for tossing the Texas-led lawsuit while suggesting that pro-Trump states should secede.

“Perhaps law-abiding states should bond together and form a Union of states that will abide by the Constitution,” he said.

In a dramatic tweet, Todd Starnes, a former Fox News host known for making racist, xenophobic, and homophobic remarks on-air, wrote: “May God have mercy on America.”
