Also where you school determines your fate. We have outliers but in rare occasions. The rest just flow. If you’re able, take your kids to the likes of nova near tatu city or any other level or higher school ,there they have higher chance of making it in life.
I am very sure most of talkers at 13 years old had never had of rugby, they were too preoccupied with passing kcpe .
Talkers walikataa hii mambo…walisema watoto wapelekwe public schools…don’t waste your retirement kitty on niglets who will eventually abandon you and side with their mothers
Take your kids where your pocket can, but remember no fee can buy talent in private schools, or ‘toughness’ in public schools. Kama iko ndani yako itajitokeza tu, wherever you are. Ask the likes of Kipchoge.
Aiih? Mimi nilijulia badminton primary juu mzae alituletea hizo rackets na shuttlecocks from Nairobi. Siku hizi naona watoto huko home ocha ni skating tuu na roller blades kwa tarmac. Hizo ndizo hazikuwa juu hakukuwa na tarmac huko ocha back in the day kama siku hizi huwezi tembea 1km bila kupata lami.
Hockey stick ilikuwa requirement ukiingia form one.
I agree. Take your kids where your pocket can afford. But usijidanganyena hio part two. You can train 12- 18yr olds to become anything. Talent is good but training facilities and personnel ni muhimu sana…uliza kenya rugby na watu wa harambee stars watakuambia their talent actually counts for nothing without proper training and conditioning.
Agree. I am of the opinion that if you have a child it is upon you to monitor them through out; from the basic level of education and even by observing them at home to see their interests. Then be ready to always transfer them anytime to any institution (s) where there unique kind of talent can be nurtured. Teachers won’t encourage these transfers but it’s because your child is firstly and foremost a customer in their school. Kama hata unaona mtoto anahitaji break ya 2 years from class aende mahali apprenticeship, pea yeye. At age 25 you’ll have a learned person who has found their reason to be born, not just a person with certificates.
Most Kenyan politicians are failures in real life…they hide behind politics after scamming and committing other crimes…Notice how many can’t hold a proper debate in the house?
