Where will we be in 2025 with a Ruto presidency ?

Sobering thoughts from Wahome Thuku

GOODMORNING
Since yesterday morning I have been thinking that actually, William Ruto should be the fifth President of Kenya. Somethings only get known when they happen.

Yes Iam likely to mention him several times by end of the day. If you were alive in 1978 and anyone spoke to you against having Moi in power you would have called them names.

Ofcourse if Kenya voters are 20million in number WSR would comfortably win with 19,999,999 votes because mine will never go to him. The reason for that are beyond what is already in public domain, I have my own reasons never written about.
That said, it’s not about winning that I would be keen about, it’s his Presidency. Winning is a one-day off. Presidency is cool 5 yrs.
Remember how you danced at Kasarani stadium, Thika Road all the way to State House when Uhuru was sworn in late 2017. He is the same Uhuru you are castigating.
Having proudly voted against H.E Dr WSR. President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander in Chief of KDF, I would want to see how 2nd of March 2025 would break.
The year 2022 would be three years behind us, dust settled, emotions and excitements long forgotten and reality set in.
And the beauty of it is that I would never be left behind in all the consequences of his presidency. If the economy grows by double digits, my beekeeping business would thrive.
If the man decides to reduce a certain community to size, I would be a victim together with my people. But he would be justified to break me because I would not have voted for him. How about my tribesmen in the Rift Valley who will have voted for him to the man.
Iam not in government so if he decides to get Mt Kenya out of the system, I would lose nothing.
But probably tides would change and by 2025 I might be right inside his Government eating well well when those who were dying for him would be nursing their frustrations. It’s life.
The point I thought about yesterday is not about August 2022 but August 2025. Where will we be?

You couldn’t be more rightl about the presidency, all will vote since it’s a civic duty, all except me ofcourse. In the meantime things on ground are like this…

while the economy goes up two digitscome the new administartion, it will not be everyone only the selected few
