Discreetly and almost exclusively within the security sector for us, which basically had no oversight. Kazi ilikuwa kukula na kijiko kesi baadaye. Yaani hakuna kesi …

Your father lotodo was one ugly mathafaka
And economic flatulence advisor tells us you can develop without dealing with corruption
Let’s not be personal elder… slow down slow down…
Yeah, I absolutely agree with you on that one. Lotodo was surely one ugly ma’fucker even by Pokot standards. I have never proclaimed otherwise and wouldn’t defend what’s the obvious truth even to a blind person either. He was a constant visitor to our house pale upperhill na pia hapa Milimani Nax, when I was growing up … but I was a preteen back then and vaguely have any memories of the man other than his children (daughters) who were my sisters friends would sometime spend a weekend by us.
Lotodo was my Father’s protégé as were most Pokot politicians at the time. He like many others propped up and shielded by my father influence within the regime; exerted his/regime political agenda in their respective fronts … I.e West Pokot, Rift valley politics n in parliament but not in government or within the regime.
My father was a very well educated individual, highly skilled in his trade and received specialised training from several military n security institutions across several countries abroad. He started out within the military (military intelligence) before he started working for for the regime and later directly for the Presidency. He then became a man without a portfolio who god forbid he assigned his men on your case. Which were often attributed to special branch; but they were just government.operatives answerable to him and he was answerable to no one in particular.
He was not too involved in local politics unless if they were a threat to National security (the state). His influential contacts abroad made him a favourite of the regime and he often acted as a direct liason btwn the Presidency and foreign intelligence entities. He was conmected operative who played low key and and maintained great anonymity… at all costs.
