Whatsapp back up from Android to iPhone

I need to migrate whatsapp back up/chats history sfrom android to iphone. Is there a cost free way to do it out there?

Had no plans to spend on this task.

Anyone with a paid app access creditials and willing to share?

  1. Backup your chats and Media to Google drive on the android device then get it off the internet.

  2. On your iOS devices setup your whatsapp account and when it prompts for backup account use the same old google drive account as your android. Input the login credentials and it will download your previously uploaded backup

Tried this but the whatsapp in a phone couldn’t read the Google drive back up.
