Kanu used to be a national party under President Kenyatta and Moi.
Under President Uhuru it was reduced to a regional party with at least some officials countrywide. In 2012 he proposed to rebrand it and carry out party elections in every branch in readiness of elections 2013. Gideon moi refused saying it was perfect and against party traditions. President Uhuru quit Kanu to form TNA.
Under chairman Gideon moi Kanu was reduced to a baringo party in 2013.
In 2016 kanu sec gen Salat claimed it will join opposition. In 2017 Gideon moi refused knowing only too well joining cord, nasa and whatever opposition misfit in RV is political suicide against Jubilee wave. Infact every campaign he does on the grassroots he claims kanu is part of Jubilee only that it wouldn’t desolve to join it. Salat wants kanu to join opposition because it’s his last shot of being Honourable after 3 straight loses in general elections at Bomet for various seats. Babuon has promised him the langata seat if he delivers kanu to the opposition misfit.
9 weeks to party nominations, Jubilee is ready, eager and prepared. Let the opposition continue with the musical chairs, sidesteps, and false pretenses of unity.

Gideon Moi said he will support Uhuru (he conveniently left out UHURUTO) I saw him speak at a function stating that they will listen to Uhuru if he goes by himself to Baringo. He is just trying to upstage Arap Singh
I stand corrected but I if I can remember he said he will support son of Jomo if he is put number 2 … talk of RV politics

Jubilee does need kanu, has never asked for them to join and will take them on full blast in Baringo. Unlike 2013 where President Uhuru out of respect to President Moi, deliberately skipped campaigns in Baringo. This time much to DP Uncle Ruto pleasure they are there in full force. Kanu is the one lying to people that they are part of Jubilee. Right now Kanu has been reduced to a family party. The famous and former powerful Nakuru kanu offices was auctioned last week over a loan they took but failed to pay. Rongai MP Raymond moi is called a ghost MP, spoke once in Parliament and has never been seen since campaigns 2013. DP Uncle Ruto is sending all sons of Moi back home for the second time. (2007-2017)

The facts in the above paragraph defined our present position: younger progressive leaders who do not fear competitieve politics and are able to build bridges between hitherto irreconcilable groupings. Akina NASA, JaKuon, Ka-wiper, Salat, Muthama and the rest are still grappling with ancient ethnic formulas. .

Simple Mathematics. Prof. endorsed and indeed annointed UK. Gideon is Prof ’ s fav child. No way Prof retracts his endorsement and no way Gideon goes against Pop. Like Uhuru before the nudging of Prof. Those who know Gideon will aver that politics is not his bread and butter ! Ergo Moi will support UK. It’s out of his hands.
