Some of us are saying Ruto ameshindwa kudeal na maandamano ya Raila, which is destabilizing the govt.
Let’s say you were in Ruto’s position. You are the president and you won elections fairly and yet the opposition has chosen to do constant maandamano to disrupt your government from working and bring some measure of political instability.
How would you handle those guys (opposition) in order to deal witj them effectively? For me I have proposed ignore the law and put them under house arrest so as to minimize their chances of causing disruption through protests.
What would be your strategy?
Home arrest would lead to escalation of protests, it will spiral into something else. I would let them andamana but put in agents provocateurs to cause chaos and make the demonstrations unpopular
“Accidentally” kill them. Ruto is already recognized internationally by all governments in the world. That means he has excess legitimacy capital. Raila on the other hand has negative legitimacy capital. Killing him accidentally and then launching an official investigation complete with the flamboyance and elegance of a legitimate president would only reduce Ruto’s legitimacy capital to around 99%.
Moi was a master of this thing. Anakuuua as the legitimate president alafu analuanch flamboyant commission of inquiry which bends over backwards to convince doubters and retain legitimacy at 95-100%. In all his time as president no country ever questioned his legitimacy.
Ojinga ni kehee. I don’t mean he’s physically uncut. I mean that metaphorically. Akili yake hureason kikehee. Huwezi mshinda juu hana utu uzima ndani yake. In real life ukiargue na kehee kubwa kukuliko ata kama kiko class five. It won’t care kama una point kitakurushia mapote au kikutusi na mamako juu kinajua hukiwezi vita.
Ojinga ni kamaa kehee oversize ya class five yenye inajua haina point but iko na nguvu.
Use the available resources at your disposal effectively. More GSU officers can be deployed to highly volatile areas like kisumu and Kibra, hao rioters and goons wafungiwe tu mahali moja wasitoke, and would be very effective. Through CAK, the government also has an option of Jamming commucation equipment in those areas and where rallies are held, and nothing would be aired! Do this for two weeks straight and fuckers would give up…
There are many ways Ruto can effectively use to frustrate Azimio if he so WANTS TO, but constitution ime limit vitu mingi sana, if the president fires back at Azimio using same Tactics Azimio is using, it can distabilize the country and lead to Sudan Scenario. Let’s just say, being the head of state and having opposition leader like Raila is a serious headache!
Government agents can sponsor even more mayhem and have it blamed on maandamanonites. The government can then feign a security threat and come fast and furious on the opposition knocking senseless a few block heads
My gut feeling is if Ruto ignored Baba, just escort the folks demonstrating to ensure no property destruction, they would eventually get tired of showing up. Especially now with the rains. And focus on lowering prices of unga first, then others like power, fuel etc.
This is the only solution. A lot of Kenyans are still stuck in that age where you have to prove that you are the president, not knowing that it is the exact reaction Azimio is using to agitate the two sickly chaps. Too many Kenyans still stuck in that “first body” primary school kind of reasoning.
if you make life easy for the citizenry… low taxes, affordable food housing and such… odinga becomes irrelevant… but ukipigana an someone who has little to lose and you are I charge of a country… all blame goes to you… catchj 20 situation… arror is fwacked both ways
