Africa is so easy to buy, sell and exploit because all one needs to do is create differences by bribing one party to frustrate the other.
That party can be a powerful individual, corporation, judiciary, community, or anybody with power to influence outcomes.
At this rate, it’s not going to be long before it becomes necessary to kick out these people. This IS recolonization and I hope the zambians do not follow Kenya’s example of officially supporting the foreigners. There’s a real danger that this could become the source of civil strife that we are so fond of.
It’s stupid if you think about it. Assuming that the China’s goal is to become a legit super power, pissing off the locals primes them to welcome the Americans and Europeans back. Unless, of course, there’s something I’m missing.
