They are in a real shit storm
No country has ever failed because of corruption. Politicians have been removed because of corruption but no country has ever failed because of corruption. Corruption only works when there is something to steal, as soon as a politician steals too much, their grip on the state reduces, and the opposition takes over. The cycle repeats.
That was the really interesting part of the read.
And the way western media has defined corruption has only demonized the same to african, latino and middle-eastern/asiatic countries yet they also practise it on a grand scale.
