This case of Jeff Mwathi got me thinking. What is the police procedure if they find a body within an enclosed residential area? Assuming that the area has cctv, do they ask for cctv to peruse in search of clues or they can only do that if there’s a paying complaint? Like police work/investigations is not necessary if the body is unidentified. I’m really wondering how things work in this country considering that all they had to do was look through the cctv and biometrics to figure out who came in with this kid. Instead of giving us stories DCI should educate Kenyans what should be done when a body is found especially in such an enclosed residential area. There was no way that kid would have gone into the apartment with out biometric of a resident there. Even if it was a suicide there would have been someone to claim the body. Do police in Kenya work with procedures ama ni kienyeji tuu? Number 2 under what circumstances are postmortems done in city mortuary? And at what point is cause of death determined and by who? The cops or the mortician? @Simiyu22 shed light, me I only follow American true crime coz its very orderly and systematic in who does what when and how this one of Kenya its hard to understand how things are done in this country.
Hapa kenya sai kuna land-rover inazunguka ikichukua bodies za kurusha city mortuary…wengine hurushwa huko kabla wakufe…i remember kuna time walingoja jangili fulani akate roho kwanza ndio wamuele kwa land rover…kwanza Fridays hua wanacollect so many bodies…za hit and run na victims of bar fights and violent robbery victims…unarushwa kwa land-rover na case inaisha hivyo…your case only gets investigated if your people follow it up
When there’s public outcry, they will review cctv footage. Or if the family pursues. Same applies to autopsy. They just don’t have enough medics to perform autopsies, because for them to issue a cause of death, they have to study the crime scene. And who will pay for toxicological reports.
But controversial cases are not limited to Kenya. I’ve been following some cases in SA, and it’s just the same controversy. Eg Rapper AkA murder, Charle Kinnear murder which even their president intervened and got nowhere. That AKa was probably killed by request of his gf dad, very interesting case.
It shouldn’t be this way. Human life is important–it’s incumbent upon us, the living, to make it important, in the way we handle death in mysterious or contentious circumstances. This style of living and dying without consequence like beasts needs to change.
Yes I heard he was mocking his gfs dad after throwing her off a building. Why can’t you just poison someone? Imagine what the relatives have to see when someone falls off a building. I couldn’t even recognize the Jeff guy.
