What Does Zimbabwe New 100% Gold Currency Mean for the Future of Africa

Which table is Russia negotiating on right now?
Other than accelerate Europe’s departure from their oil and gas, there is no upside to the war.

Every country in Europe has brought up their green energy transition timetable, with billions of Euros to support that.

No one is going to start a nuclear war because their economy has tanked.
Remove oil and gas revenue, Russia is quite literally left with nothing.

And before you say China will buy, China is also in good terms with the Middle East, and they won’t suddenly stop buying there.

Green energy is not up to par with fossil fuels. There will always be a buyer for affordable oil and gas. Former Nazis kule Germany wameanza kurudisha coal power as they plan for a cold winter without Russian gas. The Euro is tanking as the Ruble is appreciating. Mzito Putin anafanya Kazi buana.

Green energy can be produced in-country.
Germany in particular is pushing ahead fast. Including doubling down on nuclear.

I don’t see how they’ll be turning back.
Russia has the upper hand now, but Putin overplayed his hand. By the end of this decade, Russia will have lots of oil and no one to sell to.

For the Ruble going up right now, it is almost primarily because oil and gas prices have gone up considerably.
Those prices will not always remain up.

Man has traded with gold for thousands of years for many reasons…and thousands of years after we are gone…gold will still be money.

Apart from silver that comes close second…everything else ni myambo ya punda that comes and goes depending who is dictator and the available technology.

Kenya ni ubonoboste coz hawajui wako na precious essential rare metal platinum

(that was discovered way later than gold and would have been impossible to melt with the available technology, so it could not have been money then)

… being sneaked out in broad daylight…hii platinum tunapatiana kama njugu karanga bana…itakuwa machos baadaye

Where is this platinum in Kenya?
I always thought our most valuable minerals are soda ash and diatomite. :D:D

Umekutana na Gachagua? Minting money from thin air, literally

two questions. 1. where will zimbabwe get the gold needed for this to work. do they own a mine or sth? (sorry, didn’t watch the video). 2. gold isn’t that liquid (value based on rarity). how will they make it work on a long term basis should they go for it
