Islam is a counterfeit

We don’t care

Which year was Jesus crucified?

33 AD?

Jews view jesus kama jehovah wanyonyi

Btwn 30AD-33AD are the estimates. I think its a very big red-flag that Christians do not know the date Jesus was crucified considering we know Augustus Caesar died on 19th August 14 AD, Julius Caesar 15th March 44BC. Why would Christians forget the date Jesus was crucified? Even the year they forget? Shouldn’t this have been the first thing Christians remember?

A three year discrepancy shouldn’t be a “red flag” because Jesus lived like any other Jewish commoner under Roman occupation. He was not an emperor like Augustus or Julius Caesar who by virtue of their superior influence would have better records about their lives. What’s certain is that He died by crucifixion, we know the exact location of his tomb, the historicity surrounding His resurrection is well documented.

What’s that about the exact location of his tomb, since when??

Why does it matter whether Jesus was a commoner or not? His followers considered him God. So how do you forget the date he died? The same day there was an alleged 3 hours of daytime darkness, an earthquake, dead saints roaming the city and the temple veil ripped from top to bottom! Surely there was no historian to record these events?

Was Jesus crucified? Resurrected? The only proof we have are the gospels and Paul. The tomb you claim belongs to Jesus was found in the 4th Century, nearly 300 years after Jesus… by Romans. Even then it only dates 1700 years so it can’t be the same one Jesus was buried in by Joseph of Arimathea… the same Arimathea town that has never been located.

Where does it say his followers forgot the year He died? The Bible is very specific which day of the week Jesus died and what Jewish holiday was taking place (Passover) down to the hour. It’s the typologies which occurred Perhaps those records were destroyed during numerous raids which took place during those times…??

The gospels are based on oral traditions so there were no records to be destroyed. I think it’s troubling that in 1st Corinthians 15 Paul is able to outline all the people who witnessed the resurrection but he is unable to name even one person who was at the crucifixion. In fact, the only evidence Paul has that Jesus died for our sins and was buried are “the scriptures” i.e Old Testament…and Paul was in Jerusalem in 36AD so he should have met at least 1 witness.
