I don’t see anything new in this outbreak. Pipes for water in all slums pass thru sewers ! So why exactly is there an outbreak? So it appears that Jacaranda and San Valencia food and Weston as well is outsourced from slums? Kenya!

I once had a conversation with a water engineer and he told me some things that left me bewildered.
The source of many water contaminations comes from the many water leakages that are very common in the water distribution systems and which the water suppliers often ignore. When water leaks out of the pipes, it either flows away or stays around the pipe stagnant where it’s contaminated by all kinds of dirt including sewage. Now when the water supply is cut off, like in the current water rationing, the low pressure in the pipe causes the now very contaminated water to be sucked back into the pipes and when the water supply resumes, this dirty water is delivered directly to the consumers.
That’s how you end up with water that is supposedly treated carrying all manner of pathogens.

The causative agent is a bacteria- Vibrio cholerii that originates from faecal matter contamination.
From where does this faecal matter get contaminated?
How many times do have to say that the cause of chorela is Arap kipindupindu?
