Very difficult times right now for most people, especially for those that still have families to face and explain things to.

@Axelrod is getting played by chuck pale sn5

This is just horrible. And this is how a brand dies.

So whats with the bitching up in here? Of course companies are not family, they do not owe you shit. They dont! You get fired, you pack up your shit and head to the farm to see which cow is likely calving next week or something, not ati go on yiu tube to make a movie about it.

So, y’all burn bridges coz no one owes another, right? Naah…

He is earning from that you know

Been fired 5 times since I started working 12 years ago. What I have learnt is never to build a relationship with companies I work for, they work you nothing. If they choose to fire you my fren, there is nothing you can do.
A blessing in disguise came early last year, was retrenched after giving the fuckers 8 years of my life, but nilitoka hapo na 6.8M pesa taslimu.Niliingia biashara kwa ubaya na sioni nikirudi kutafta kazi za kusomewa kama mtoi and wa nursery.
I was bitter at first after being retrenched, but with time I saw the reality that employment should be a means to an end.

funny thing is that now you are/might be an Employer, you will treat your Employees the same way you were treated.
some or most of the time Employers have to be tough to Employees since it’s them that deal with the risks and pressures of the business.

all the best

Thanks.Kwa hio 6M,nilichikua 200k nika ends Mtwapa kutoa stress ya retrenchment, used 4M to get a Total Petrol Station dealership. The other 1.5M nilifungua shop ya kuuza simu na phone and electronic accessories.Hio shop imezaa zingine mbili.
In total nimechora watu 13.Nime apply kuchukua dealership ya Total ya a town called Sondu. If it goes thru ntakua na mbili.
Being retrenched was hard bana, maze you are used to going to work daily from 6am to 8pm.Suddenly you have alot of free time in your hands.Mpaka leo wife thinks i resigned voluntarily.I tried to ensure family hawajui ndio wasiwe worried.Wife just wondered why I had suddenly become an alcoholic.Nilikuwa naeza kunywa mzinga moja ya Johny Walker red 750ml daily.

pole manxe but inaonekana vitu zinakua poa.
watu hufikiria ati kuretire ama kua retrentched ni rahisi but kuzoea free time ya cku mzima wiki mzima inakua ngumu sana.
but uciharakishe kuexpand sana pia weka savings na ukue na kitty ya health na education.

Companies owe no one shit. You are just a donkey to them. They are your masters. If the master decides to sell the donkey or rest it there is nothing the donkey can do. Many people after getting fired usually want to get back at the company. Its as if its their right to be in that company.

What i always know is to be never comfortable in an organization. Put your shit together. Have a savings account somewhere incase things go wrong. Infact thank the company for giving you the opportunity to work for them. Never burn bridges they may need you later. You never know.

Kufutwa sio vibaya, the reason you get fired ndio ya muhimu.

Working for a company is not like working for govt it requires a different mindset, you need to know your strengths no matter how little and capitalise on that. Never give anything for free especially info, let them depend on you wholly. For the moment they know they can get your services cheaply elsewhere you are done. If you are a public servant it is not wise to jump for a job in private sector even if it pays better, for you won’t last there. The game is different and brutal hakuna urafiki or sympathy, private companies as much as they care about how good you are at technical work they care more about the connections you offer, your influence, new markets you can connect them to. Something many public servant are not exposed to

In as much as it’s a very terrible experience to be fired or laid off, it is definitely not a good idea to go to social media and post about it, especially when your post also indicates the company. You’ll get a few likes and sympathy messages but nothing else much.

This is especially so in the Kenyan job market. Nobody might hire you again for this specific reason, coz they’ll fear that you’ll also air their dirty linen once it’s time for them to let you go. You’ll also be perceived as an employee who can’t keep company and professional affairs private and confidential. Most employent contracts do have a clause stipulating what you can’t do or share after leaving the company and they can actually sue.

Who now is the master, the bosses or the entity itself because remember even the CEO and the board can be fired. They are all cannon fodder for this thing that must spit out money at the end of the year. Do you see what tyranny capitalism is

Not in kenya i bet

I’m wondering, the way people get so quickly fired in the US, and they do the weekly paycheck model, do they get as quickly hired?
In Europe, do they also fire as quickly like being told to take a day off?

It’s actually very nic
