We came from nothing bruh
You know the struggle if in Primary school…
1. There were days when you would use Cooking oil/kimbo on your body as an alternative to petroleum jelly.

 2. You would use a bit of kerosene to polish your shoes since there was no Kiwi.

 3. You’d come home during lunch time and find no lunch prepared since mum and dad were slaving elsewhere so that you won’t lack supper and therefore you’d be forced to go back to school hungry.

 4. Your uniform especially the shorts had different patches and would be easily mistaken for a rug.

 5. Your mum bought you big shoes so that you wouldn’t easily fill them and you ended up being trolled in class for your gigantic shoes.

Man…we came from nothing.

Thanks God sija pitia all of the above…hata kama hatukua matajiri, wali jaribu sana. Am thinking of building them a house as a sign of grattitude

Be thankful…we’ve been through the worst. Some I can’t even mention here lest Talkers use them to troll me. My parents basically lived as paupers so that we could live as kings, a debt I cannot repay fully.

the secret is not to get stuck in the past…

It’s true that we shouldn’t be fixated on the past. However, we remember the past so that we can realize that whatever progress we’ve made, no matter how little they might look, are a great blessing. From these experiences you can have a clear definition of success.

Ranks jo umetoka mbali chief, waaaaaah kwanza hio ya lunch (No.3) wueh hio ni ngori. Nakumbuka vile nkiwa primo how hungry one was lunch time ikifika… alafu kuna scorching sun.

I remember in Highschool during visiting days, wanafunzi wengine wakiletewa chapo and all that mimi nilikua naletewa tu gazeti and no pocket money. It never bothered me,I knew very well my parents were toiling for me and its because of that that siku hizi whenever my pay cheque comes in,the first people on my mind ni wazazi
