wavinya ndeti

The High Court has suspended IEBC decision to lock Wavinya Ndeti out of Machakos gubernatorial race.
Judge George Odunga on Friday ordered the electoral commission to include her name in the gazette notice on candidates vying in the August polls.
APPEAL
IEBC Disputes Resolution Committee on Thursday quashed her nomination after finding that she is a member of two parties at the same time — the Wiper Democratic Movement and Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU).
Ms Ndeti filed the appeal on Friday morning.
She wants the court to overturn the IEBC Disputes Resolution Committee’s decision, arguing that she does not belong to two parties.
Through lawyer Willis Otieno, she has sued the IEBC, Wiper Democratic Movement and Registrar of Political parties.

This judge should share his rule book! He seems to have a problem with all the rules and regulations.

as usual, odunga to the rescue! cc @Nattydread

This judge is always against the rule of the law

Why don’t we just make Odunga the IEBC chairman or CEO or something like that?

Wrong! He’s just a stickler of the law, much to the chagrin of this law breaking regime.

Ata akiwa kwa poll hawes tisha mutua.

Huyu Odunga ame ali ponea aje ile time wale wengine walikua wanaenda home

and how long will the ruling take to happen? we know these games. it will be delayed until the next general election.
hapa odunga ameharibu. basically iebc cannot effect rules and regulations because the high court can overturn them at any time.
for this singular purpose, i hope she’s floored by 9pm on the 7th of august.

At least the people can now choose who they want.

that’s not the bottom line. the idea that one can vie anyhow without consideration of rules is the problem.
it is basically forcing yourself on to the electorate.
anyway…

Nigga always sobber… I love this man…

What if she goes on to win and eventually the court rules that she was indeed a member of two parties? That case needs to be heard and determined in at least 3 weeks, Maraga aache mchezo.
