In the coming month, I expect at least a thousand new saccos to be registered.

I am sure they have put in place laws preventing registration of new saccos and commuter transport companies, otherwise its just another knee jerk reaction. Trial and error should not be the modus operandi of running a city like Nairobi.

What will be the criteria for choosing which one to enter CBD?

Sasa watu watanunua motorbikes and bicycles. Do these rules apply to tuk tuk?

F*uck Kenya and their president too.

Shrek

heheheh with two vehicles each:D:D:D:D problem solved

izo zuri zote na Kenya mpya zitaenda wapi. this is mathafathaing awesome

Not possible. Lopha alone has myriad routes under the same sacco. How will they ensure only two per route come into town?

Matatu owners will strike.

Sasa how does restricting PSVs and making people walk help us as a nation?

sasa ndio mtaona sacco juu ya sacco ingine

Sometimes I wonder if we have children running the county. I think I have heard better ideas pitched in a high school science symposium. You do not restrict without providing adequate alternatives. Are people like kush supposed to walk all the way from Ngara into town? What about pregnant women?

Wouldn’t it have served them better to have some of those BRT buses pick people outside the CBD in designated stages and have them as the only public transport vehicles running in town. Watu wa thika road tunaokotwa hapo ngara maybe etc. The city would run smoothly.

Walking nation…

tulia kutembea utatembea nani,

You can imagine just how shitty that would be especially for these guys who stand at the stages waiting for the matatus to reduce the fare by 10 shillings so they can board…:D:D:D
Otherwise carpooling an Uber is a great option also. Kila mtu anatoa pesa fulani wanalipa dere.
