The story behind this painting is both shocking and sad!
In one of the European countries, an old man was sentenced to death through hunger.
The punishment was no food until he died!
His daughter Pero pleaded with the government to meet her father daily until his death.
she was granted permission but she had to undergo thorough checks by prison officers to make sure she didn’t bring any food to him.
She could not stand to see her father dying of hunger
So in order to keep her father alive, she used to feed him breast milk on a daily basis.
When after so many days, the man had not died the security guards got suspicious and laid a trap only to catch the girl breastfeeding her father. She was hauled before the judge but her selfless nature won his heart and she was granted hers and her fathers freedom.
The painting is one of the worlds most expensive paintings.

I had no choice. Didn’t quite like solid foods by then and mama wanted me to breastfeed as long as possible.
