That’s a form of greeting. It means WHAT´S UP? It’s a mixture of kikuyu and broken Kiswahili. Dio = ndio. We don’t pronounce n because our folks shrub lol.
Young men on the street say that a lot and the response is DIO. The point is that it’s not Kikuyu. It’s slang for Kikuyu village cool kids. Sometimes they’ll say YES and you respond YEAH.
