Kiambu County Government has denied being the authors of some rate notices being pinned across the count, telling residents to ignore them as they are meant to cause panic and disharmony amongst Kiambu residents.
Waititu has stolen over 3 billion since he came into power. This money is part of the billions allocated to counties by the national government. He is staring at a hole and wants Kiambu residents to fill it using local taxes before the auditors catch up with him.
Money from the national government comes in lumpsums, so it is easier to steal. Unfortunately, it is also harder to hide because Treasury knows exactly how much was disbursed.
Is it really hard to hide? I think it is actually not necessary to hide because all in all you are safe while looting from the public coffers from experience. Why hide when prison is meant for petty offenders?
